Equipment Operator/Truck Driver (Class A CDL Required)
The Equipment Operator/Truck Driver safely operates and maintains trucks and equipment used in the upkeep of Williams County roads.
Examples of Duties
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents in this position. The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and may change with or without notice. Operates a variety of trucks and equipment including, but not limited to, loaders, skid steer, mini excavator, and self-propelled packer
Transports materials, vehicles, and equipment to and from site
Repairs and maintains surfaces through activities such as patching asphalt and sealing cracks in pavement
Performs routine inspection and maintenance on trucks and equipment; reports mechanical problems requiring additional repair
Performs manual labor activities, including snow and debris removal, snow fence maintenance, foliage maintenance, and others as assigned
Adheres to safety rules and regulations on all work sites, reports safety hazards and traffic problems
Acts in the interest of public safety and personal property protection during emergencies
Maintains confidentiality of non-public records and makes available all data and information deemed a public record by the North Dakota Century Code.
Typical Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalentANDone (1) year of related work experience;ORan equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver License
Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
Special Working Conditions:

- Work is performed in an outdoor environment with exposure to extreme temperatures and inclement weather
Work is performed in and around mechanical, industrial, and electrical equipment
Occasional emergency on-call work is required
Compensation:
Starting Salary ranges from $37.08-$39.30/hour based on experience and training.
