Welder / Metal Window Assembler: (5) Fulltime, Temporary, Peak Load (H-2B) Jobs available 05/15/2025-12/15/2025.
Employer: Optimum Window Mfg Corp., 28 Canal Street., Ellenville, NY 12428
Duties: Responsible for designing, cutting, and permanently joining metal parts together through the application of appropriate welding techniques to construct and assemble custom steel windows. Duties include fusing metal materials together using high heat equipment and welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and electric arc welding. Work with a range of materials and equipment in fitting and assembling metal components to form structures. Operate hand-welding and flame-cutting equipment such as
oxyacetylene torch, electric arc machine. Handle metal materials such as steel, stainless steel, Cor Ten steel, Bronze and Aluminum. Read blueprints and drawings to identify welding measurements and position. Set up and install welding components/equipment according to set specifications. Test and inspect welded surfaces to identify and fix possible flaws. Able to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted. Sick time, medical, and holiday pay benefits as required by state law.

No education required. 12 months experience required.
Work Days: Mon-Fri, 6:30am-3:30pm, 40 hors/week at $26.66/hour. OT at $39.99/hour when available. Bonuses/raises may be paid at employer discretion based on performance, skill, tenure.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages. Workers will be paid weekly, on Friday.
All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $16.28/day without receipts or up to $68.00/day with receipts.
