About The Role
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented
Specialist, Graphic Designer to join our team. This position can be based in
Rochester, NY; Melbourne, FL; or remote within the U.S. As part of our Creative Services team, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting L3Harris’ visual communications strategy, developing high-impact design work across digital and print platforms. You'll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to create marketing collateral, infographics, executive presentations, web content, and more—all aligned with our brand as a leader in the aerospace and defense industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high-quality visuals for digital and print materials while maintaining brand consistency
- Collaborate with internal clients to develop innovative creative solutions
- Manage design projects from concept through final production, ensuring quality and timely delivery
- Prepare design assets optimized for print, web, and multimedia use
- Contribute to the evolution of design systems and templates
- Mentor junior designers and share best practices
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 4 years’ professional graphic design experience (2 years with a graduate degree, or 8 years without a degree)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft PowerPoint
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multimedia assets (e.g., animation, video editing)
- Ability to clearly communicate design concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong time management and the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Familiarity with HTML, photography, or videography is a plus
- Experience in the defense, aerospace, or technology sector
- Trade show booth design experience
Location & Salary:
This role is available remotely or from Rochester, NY, or Melbourne, FL. The salary range varies by location and experience:
- $59,000 – $110,000 (Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, New York State)
- $68,500 – $127,000 (California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Denver, Washington State, NYC)
