About the role:
As a Manufacturing Lead Supervisor, you will:
Implement activities necessary to assure the timeliness and quality of the manufacturing process.
Direct department personnel to achieve quality, cost and productivity improvements consistent with plant goals.
Establish department and individual objectives; monitor performance against those goals.
Create an environment that encourages and supports employee participation
You will report to the Senior Manager eVinci Manufacturing and be located at 51 Bridge Street, Pittsburgh, PA.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement standards contained in Westinghouse Codes of Business Ethics & Conduct
Ensure that all employees reporting to this position are informed about the standards and related policies and enforce them within this supervised activity
Develop and implement plans for meeting customer requirements; ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and government regulations
Implement solutions to long- and short-term technical issues often requiring the obtaining of resources from outside of the department
Use plant, division, team and corporate resources to address resolution of issues
Implement change following needs and the strategic plans of the organization
Qualifications:
5+ years management experience
Bachelor's degree with a technical, business, or equivalent experience
Experience with manufacturing processes
Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing tools
Fundamental knowledge of business and performance improvement technology and applications
Knowledge of engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, and Lean Enterprise techniques
Knowledge of Westinghouse customers, products, and suppliers
