Here's how an Electrical Quality Supervisor for PCL Industrial Services, Inc. contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Relevant U.S.-based QA/QC certifications such as ICC, NACE CIP Level II, or API 510/570/653 preferred.
Working knowledge of U.S. electrical codes and standards including NEC, NFPA, IEEE, NETA, and OSHA.
Strong understanding of industrial construction specifications, drawings, methods, and procedures.
Demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience for quality inspection teams across multiple scopes.
Proven ability to identify quality risks and monitor project progress for timely inspections and compliance.
Experience developing and implementing site quality plans and quality documentation.
Strong ability to interpret electrical plans and specifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with quality management systems.
Qualifications
Tradesperson or bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
Regulatory and compliance certifications are required based on the field of discipline (e.g., Electrical SCO, Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) level II or III certification, Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Level 1, API (American Petroleum Institute) 510/570/653 inspector).
Proven knowledge of the construction industry and understanding of specifications, drawings, methods, and procedures.
Strong construction inspection skills on a broad range of scopes of work.
Basic knowledge of various engineering systems, principles, and practices and ability to interpret construction industry codes.
Ability to monitor project progress to ensure timely inspections.
Basic ability to interpret plans and specifications, visualizing two-dimensional drawings in three dimensions.
Experience with internal project quality assessments and ability to identify quality risks associated with the project..
Basic planning, organization, and time-management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize own work, and delegate.
Basic ability to develop and maintain effective customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
Basic conflict resolution and difficult conversation skills, with the ability to manage and effectively resolve conflict with trade contractors/supervisors.
Strong computer skills with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other software as required.
