Support Resideo (ADI / Snap One) deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers. You will work under limited supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Resideo's next generation (product) by designing, testing and validating products/processes from proto@type to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers. You will interact with internal and external customers in order to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications. Use your advanced electrical engineering knowledge by working on exciting products and processes serving customers globally. Refine and expand your engineering skills in a team-based culture by working with innovative products and technologies. Partner with various project teams to reach effective solutions to complex electrical engineering problems.
JOB DUTIES:
Own and be accountable for the design, development, and analysis of major systems.
Spend most of the time developing electrical circuits and solutions and efficiently producing elegant, clean schematics without unnecessary complication or abstraction.
Develop detailed electrical schematic drawings using company core standards.
Complete electrical designs that are thoroughly tested with very few bugs and is supported by design reviews.
Beginning to lead feature or sub-system design reviews and be recognized as the go-to developer for that system & sub assembly.
Participate in architecture discussions, propose, and discuss solutions to system and product changes that are directly related to their area of focus.
Develop or direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and proto@type fabrication.
Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Define general approaches as well as specific solutions to technical problems.
Apply extensive technical expertise and analysis to all assigned projects.
Can be relied on to deliver project assignments on time and to requirements.
Take ownership of action items and areas of improvement from retrospectives and develop habits that improve the team.
Contribute to the development of new technologies and practices within the team and across teams, take on work to deliver on these ideas.
YOU MUST HAVE:
Five years or more experience contributing to the design and testing of electronic circuits, including embedded IC circuits, Multiple CPU architecture experience, analog and digital expertise.
Knowledge of complex CPU architectures, various communications protocols such as I2C, I2S, USB, UART, SPI, SDIO, etc.
Experience using Altium CAD tool, circuit simulation tools, schematic capture.
Experience contributing to the design and release of products that meet US and international compliance and safety regulations with a good understanding of conducted and radiated emissions and safety standards.
WE VALUE:
At least 8 years of experience designing and releasing electronic products to production.
Experience designing products with compliance requirements in mind.
Experience simulating circuits using SPICE simulators.
Experience designing and installing home automation and smart home devices.
Experience designing and evaluating A/C to D/C power supply systems.
FPGA, ASIC and DSP design experience are a plus.
