Job Title: Asset Management Support Specialist
Location: Arnold AFB, TN - Tullahoma, TN (On-site)
Canvas is seeking a qualified individual to provide advisory and assistance services to the Air Force in support of asset management efforts associated with specific test needs at the Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) at Arnold AFB, TN.
The candidate will provide a wide range of services including procurement support, contract administration assistance, and records management/administrative support, as well as supporting virtually any and all aspects of various projects, planned or underway.
Drafting of life cycle sustainment plans based on calculations of maintenance costs will be a large part of this position.
Contingent upon award
Duties:
Provide Asset Management support to DoD PM's including, but not limited to the following:
Work closely with PMs to calculate maintenance costs for new assets.
Develop LCSPs for all investment efforts
Work with Asset Owners to satisfy concerns/needs
Review Statement of Work documentation (SOWs) for life cycle considerations.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering Field
3-10 years of relevant work experience
Effectively interface with various Base organizations to complete support assignments
Ability to coordinate with Asset Owners to identify needs/concerns
Experience drafting LCSPs
Desired Qualifications
Master's degree in an Engineering field
Knowledge of good engineering practices
Knowledge of wind tunnels, engine test, and or hypersonic
Knowledge of aerodynamics or aero propulsion sciences
Knowledge of government procurement processes and the management of large complex construction projects desirable.
Prior experience working at a military facility highly desirable (AEDC experience a plus)
PMP credentials highly desirable
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain and Secret clearance.
Other Essential Job Functions: Must be willing to travel up to 5%.
