Job Title: Control Systems EngineerJob Description
As a Control Systems Engineer, you'll work with a team to design, implement, and revise control systems to meet product requirements. In the concept phase, you will be documenting and designing control systems based on input from a product development team and product specifications. Crane control systems incorporate electrical, hydraulic, and software subsystems to meet product requirements. During the detailed design phase of projects, you will be implementing and testing control systems. This testing is done statically, on test benches, and on cranes. As needed, you will support product service and production. A typical work week is Monday through Thursday in the office, and Fridays remote.
Responsibilities
Write requirements, design, and document control systems for new products.
Use your fundamental knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and software systems to collaborate with the product development team.
Troubleshoot control systems that incorporate hydraulic, electrical, and software subsystems.
Clearly define steps to complete assigned tasks and accurately estimate time to complete tasks.
Define risk factors for tasks that could delay completion.
Collaborate with groups within the engineering, production, product service, and testing departments.
Take responsibility for mistakes with a positive attitude and provide a correction and prevention plan.
Supervise internal or external contractors.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in C++ programming, embedded systems, and Linux.
Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and schematic systems.
Experience designing off-highway/construction equipment.
Work history in a production and product design environment.
Working knowledge of Functional Safety requirements.
Ability to read and write C code for embedded applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or Electrical Mechanical Engineering.
5-8 years of experience in the field.
Work Environment
The schedule is 4-5 days at the facility. There will be a temperature check prior to entering the facility and masks are required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
