Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs of laundry equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair commercial laundry equipment including large washers, dryers, conveyer system with high heat surface, small boilers, exhaust systems, filtration and water systems, air quality sensors, housekeeping equipment and chemical feed systems.
Rebuild pneumatic and hydraulic valves and actuators.
Comprehend the review of equipment service technical manuals including blueprints and electrical schematics.
Instruct Laundry associates on proper equipment operating techniques.
Utilize the following diagnostic equipment: multimeters, water chemistry meters, battery testers and precision measuring tools like micrometers and slide calipers in the maintenance and repair of laundry equipment.
Maintain efficient stock of parts to minimize the downtime of all laundry equipment.
Communicate via email, updates on equipment problems and scheduling equipment downtime.
Perform all duties of Building Maintenance associates.
Practice SECR Hospitality Rules with every internal and external guest.
Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

Contacts/Purpose of Contacts:
Contact with all associates in the Laundry to ensure proper operating techniques are being used.
Contact with Hotel Manager and Laundry Management to communicate system problems and coordinate equipment repairs.
Contact with Central Plant Operators to ensure supporting utilities are operating properly for Laundry operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have at least 5 (five) years experience in a building maintenance position with a high degree of equipment repair responsibilities or two years of repair experience in a laundry environment.
Must be able to pass background check to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
License, Certification, or Special Requirements:
Must have a valid Michigan Drivers License and must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Driver
s License and qualify for coverage by SCIT auto liability insurance carrier.
Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of use of maintenance tools, chemicals, cleaners, and disinfectants.
Knowledge of rebuilding pneumatic and hydraulic valves and actuators.
Knowledge of daily operations of boilers, self-contained thermal heating systems and air compressors.
Knowledge of the methods and practices used in preventive maintenance and repair work.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and applicable safety practices.
Skill in the use of cleaning tools, chemicals, cleaners, and disinfectants.
Skill in the safe operation of power tools and shop equipment.
