Job Purpose:
Martin-Baker America is seeking Interns for our Information Technology Department. Our IT Intern is responsible for learning the roles of Help Desk Administration and Systems Administration by participating in day-to-day activities of both roles, to include assisting with Help Desk and Systems Administration tasks.
Primary Responsibilities will include:
Assist the Help Desk Representative on first touch support tasks for all IT Hardware, Software, Telephony, and other support requests for Martin Baker America.
Provide high level customer service to all internal customers and stakeholders.
Assist in supporting and triaging incidents and provide support via all available tools.
Assist in building and deploying client hardware such as desktop and laptop computers, telephones, cell phones and other devices.
Assist the IT Services Technician in systems administration tasks such as server deployment, server and device patching, anti-virus administration, among other tasks.
Assist in basic level Network Administration.
Assist with Microsoft 365 policy creation, and device management.
Experience/Education:
We are seeking individuals who are pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, with three to four years of study completed.
IT Internship candidates should have a good working knowledge of fundamental IT concepts commonly encountered in the industry and possess a functional understanding of Windows Operating Systems and applications.
The ability to follow written and verbal instructions, as well as adhere to existing guidelines and policies to perform core job functions is vital.
Required Specific Skills:
This position requires a functional understanding of Windows operating systems, a positive attitude, and a commitment to providing high-level customer service to stakeholders across various functional levels. Additionally, it demands a willingness to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
