Job Description:
Role: SQL Database Administrator
Location: Hybrid - 3 days/week onsite in SE MI
Duration: Long-term contract
Overview: We are seeking an expert SQL Database Administrator to lead the migration of SQL Server databases to Google Cloud Platform-hosted PostgreSQL. This role requires deep knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and the challenges associated with migrations between these platforms. Post-migration, the role will involve ongoing SQL development tasks, including maintaining IDs, analyzing data, and generating reports.
Responsibilities:
Design and create database tables
Analyze data and write queries
Generate data reports
Create functions and stored procedures
Set up and monitor SQL jobs
Maintain SQL IDs

Required Experience:
8+ years of experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL

Proficiency in using Jenkins jobs with Flyway to execute queries and assist others
Preferred Experience:
Experience with Elastic (ELK) is a plus
Education:
Bachelors Degree in a Computer-related field
