A Bookkeeping Assistant supports financial record-keeping by assisting with tasks like data entry, invoice processing, and maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Core Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including expenses, income, and payments.
Recording financial transactions in accounting software or spreadsheets.
Assisting with preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
Data Entry and Processing:
Entering financial data into accounting software and databases.
Processing invoices and receipts.
Assisting with bank reconciliations.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Assisting with the management of accounts payable and receivable.
Preparing and processing invoices for clients.
Following up on outstanding invoices.
Organization and Filing:
Organizing and maintaining financial records and documents.
Ensuring financial records are easily accessible and organized.
Communication:
Communicating with vendors and clients to resolve discrepancies.
Responding to inquiries regarding financial matters.
Additional Tasks:
Assisting with payroll processing
Supporting budget preparation and monitoring expenses,
Ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations,
Performing other administrative tasks as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Financial Cents)
Proficiency in management software (Google Workspace, MailChimp, Microsoft Office, OpenPhone)
Strong data entry, task management, and computer skills.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors via email, text and phone.

Interview and Hiring Schedule:
The position becomes available April 15th, 2025
Interview to be conducted: April 1st - April 11th, 2025 -
The first round to be conducted over Zoom
2nd round to be conducted in person
Pay:
Full-time 30-40 hours per week. Work week - Monday - Sunday, Paid the following Wednesday (Weekly paycheck)
Starting Rate: $14/hour with the possibility of a proficiency raise after 30-60 days of complete training to $15/hour.
Hybrid Remote with onsite work from 9am-1pm and work from home in the afternoons.
Benefits
Benefits: 1 hour of sick time accrued for every 30 hours worked, with a max of 45 hours/year becoming available after the first 90 days of employment.
2nd year of full-time employment becomes eligible for accrual of vacation time.
All necessary equipment is provided.
