POSITION: County Express Driver
DUTIES:
Be prompt, dependable and courteous at all times.
Be able to respond intelligently to emergencies about both vehicle and
passenger.
Inspect the vehicle at the beginning and the end of each shift and prepare
a pre-post trip report. (No short cuts). When signing pre-post trip
report, you are signing a legal document. This form is to be kept with the
vehicle throughout the day and turned in at the end of each day to dispatch.
Or submitted with weekly paperwork for those who work remotely.
Post-trip report includes:
o Fueling
o Cleaning (sweeping, general cleanup, sanitizing)
Comply with all company policies, FTA regulations, and other
requirements regarding regulations and
procedures at all times.
Drivers should be aware of any mechanical problems that need attention and
make this information available to the operations/ maintenance personnel. If
maintenance is not available notify the administrative assistant.
Maintain neat, accurate and complete records of operations and time.
Always maintain neat and clean appearance. You must wear badges at all
times of operation and will be in County Express shirt or Jacket if provided.
Assist passengers in entering and exiting vehicles safely.
Proficient use of lift, wheelchair, radios and other special equipment.
Thorough knowledge of safety rules and precautions to be practical in
avoiding accidents.
No use of cell phones while operating County Express Vehicles. Vehicles
must be IN PARK at the side of the road or in a parking lot.
Must always maintain client confidentiality.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Valid Driver's License
Must Pass a Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Screen
Must Pass a Pre-Employment Background Check
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
WAGE: $16.00-$16.50 an hour
SHIFTS: Hour vary
JOB SITE: Kit Carson, Cheyenne and Lincoln Counties
