Summary This position will support the FMWR Directorate on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Up to 25% recruitment and/or retention incentive may be authorized. Eligible for 1.49% COLA. Responsibilities Actively participates in the management of the activity or organization by performing a wide variety of clerical and administrative support duties. Serves as the central point of contact for matters related to day-to-day operations. Applies knowledge of the organization, its functions and regulations to carryout a wide variety of administrative functions related to the organization and its mission (e.g., personnel, accounting, budget, etc). Composes operating procedures and sets internal priorities to generate improvements in administrative services. Performs other duties related to office automation requiring a skill in general office machines, software, and the internet/intranet. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Work experience directly related to the duties described above. Ability to @type 40 words per minute. Highly Preferred: Candidates that possess highly preferred criteria and meet the minimum qualifications above will be referred to the hiring manager first. Criteria is verified within the application package. Possess at least one (1) year experience working in Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR). Possess familiarity with AR 25-50 "Preparing and Managing Correspondence." Possess experience reviewing, preparing and/or submitting requests for new or current personnel. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
