Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a VEV Electrical Test Engineer for an OEM customer in Allen Park, MI. This group is responsible for Vehicle Evaluation & Verification, and this individual will be responsible for physical validation of software and hardware functionalities on multiple programs. They will drive pre-test readiness, troubleshoot design verification (DV) issues, and provide requirement assessment documentation. This person will be solely responsible for all tasks required for electrical breadboard builds including identifying vehicle specs, generating BOMs and working with purchasing team to order electrical parts and manage delivery, creating electrical systems test plans, manage ECU software configurations, and execute validation testing for each software/hardware release. The VEV Electrical Test Engineer will also be expected to establish robust but efficient DV plans, and ensure proper test direction in compliance to standards and OEM protocols. This role will involve test planning, system design and validation, software and hardware release, as well as the ability to be bold and recommend solutions to the VEV organization.

Skills and Requirements
BS Degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
1+ years of experience in Vehicle and Breadboard electrical feature validation
1+ years of hands on experience using CANalyzer, VehicleSpy, AND Python scripting
Experience using JIRA and/or similar issue tracking tools Electrical systems & wire harness design
Matlab or Simulink software experience
Experience with certification & homologation
Experience using any of the following Ford systems: AVBOM, CPARS, FEDE, GIPRS, WERS, SPROUT null
