Job Title: Electrical Technician
Job Description
The Electrical Technician will be responsible for building custom equipment or machinery, running electrical conduit, and installing electrical wiring and assemblies. The position requires strong electrical aptitude and skills, including reading prints, wiring control panels, and running conduit for various custom equipment such as walk-in freezers, environmental rooms, automotive test benches, and calorimeters. The role is a first shift position, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
Work with production and engineering teams to ensure system specifications are met
Read and comprehend process flow and engineering schematics
Build panels and install control wiring for AC from 24 to 480 volts single and three-phase, and DC including signal loops
Solder wiring, assemble, and pull wiring harnesses
Lay out, cut, and install conduits and raceways
Lay out, cut, thread, and connect rigid conduit to functional components
Lay out, bend, and install EMT and flexible conduit to process equipment
Mount components and assemble structural and functional systems
Verify electrical functionality of assembled machinery
Follow safety policies and practices 5S and Lean methodologies
Some travel may be required
Other duties as required
Essential Skills
Strong electrical aptitude and skills
Experience building custom equipment or machinery
Proficiency in running electrical conduit
Experience in installing electrical wiring and assemblies
Skilled in control wiring and panel building for AC and DC systems
Proficiency in using electrical meters and electrical troubleshooting
Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools
Mechanical inclination and general building ability
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Ability to work independently, with direction, and in groups
Willingness to grow and learn
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of PLCs is a plus
2-4 years of technical school training is a plus

Work Environment
This position is in a manufacturing environment and involves hands-on work with tools and testing equipment. Physical activity includes lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity. The role offers opportunities for overtime and occasional short-term domestic travel. The work environment is friendly and family-oriented, with a clean, organized, and temperature-controlled industrial space.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00/hr.
