Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care of patients in the ambulatory surgery center.
- Assessing and monitoring patients' conditions before, during, and after surgery.
- Administering medications and IV fluids as per physician orders.
- Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical process.
- Educating patients and their families about surgical procedures and post-operative care.
- Documenting all patient care activities accurately and promptly.
- Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a clean and sterile environment.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and maintaining knowledge of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
-NYS Infection Control
-BLS required. ACLS and PALS Preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in perioperative nursing or ambulatory surgery.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and instruments.
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in computer systems and medical software for documentation purposes.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Pay: $54.00 - $57.00 per hour
