Job Title: Electromagnetic Compatibility EngineerJob Description
We are seeking an electromagnetic compatibility engineer to support the B Dept. at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, VA. This exciting role involves supporting a new program that tests and evaluates the EMC/EMI effects of shipboard sensors on Navy vessels and platforms. You will work with an established team of EMI/EMC/Electrical engineers, bringing your expertise to support sensors on a Navy Platform.
Responsibilities
Support Test, Evaluation, and Integration efforts of Navy EM and EMI/EMC issues of field systems and field fixes.
Identify EMC vulnerabilities of the systems being tested.
Develop test plans and procedures and execute them.
Analyze test data, create test reports, and brief results to leadership.
Essential Skills
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
Active Secret Clearance, able to work with Interim.
3-5 years of experience with EMI/EMC.
Experience with testing RF sensors and systems in a collegiate or professional environment.
Experience with test equipment including spectrum analyzers, RF probes/signal generators, EMI receivers, anechoic chamber testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Test, Evaluation, and Integration of Navy RF sensors and systems.
Work Environment
The role requires you to be onsite for 3 days a week at Dahlgren. The team focuses on improving the shipboard electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of fielded Navy systems, including radars, sensors, communication systems, and electronic warfare systems. Work includes testing and analyzing EMC of fielded systems to identify areas of improvement.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
