Bessemer Securities Corporation is currently pursuing a talented accounting professional to join the Corporate Controller's group. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the accounting analyst will assist with various financial reporting and certain operational functions including financial planning and treasury functions, in addition to other special projects. Bessemer Securities is a multi-billion-dollar family-owned private investment company investing in venture capital, private equity, hedge funds and a variety of other investments including public equity and fixed income securities.
Responsibilities:
The accounting analyst will be responsible for the following:
- Monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing process
- Support the team with monthly Bank and GL reconciliations
- Journal entry and processing into Oracle Cloud G/L module
- Maintaining accounts payables, fixed assets, and capital leases in Oracle Cloud
- Year-end consolidation of various subsidiaries and partnerships
- Preparing quarterly, and year-end financial statements
- Cash management by processing of expenses and cash transfers
- Various financial reporting requirements for Board of Directors
- Special projects and Ad-hoc reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
- 2+ year of public accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- General ledger accounting experience preferred.
- CPA license a plus.
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP/Cloud a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and manage assignments to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.
- Effective analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work well in and contribute to a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and executes responsibilities.
The base salary range for this position is $85K-$100K. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.
In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary incentive-based bonus based on individual and company performance.
