Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description
This role is for an Electrical Engineer for a client in Carrollton, GA. The Electrical Engineer will design, budget, and manage the installation of engineered electrical control systems for both capital projects and continuous improvement projects associated with plant operations. The individual will provide technical assistance to plant electronic technicians in diagnosing electrical malfunctions, determining necessary repairs, and eliminating the cause of malfunctions. Additionally, the engineer will implement solutions to improve efficiency and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
Design and manage the installation of engineered electrical control systems for capital and continuous improvement projects.
Provide technical assistance to plant electronic technicians for diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions.
Implement solutions to improve efficiency and quality assurance.
Develop new and modify existing PLC and HMI applications, interfaces, or embedded control systems.
Collaborate with other engineers and team members to ensure smooth plant operations.
Essential Skills
Engineering degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
Experience and proficiency with Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLC programming.
Knowledge of AC and DC circuitry and electrical concepts.
Ability to develop and modify PLC and HMI applications from scratch.
Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
PMP certification is a plus.
Experience with VFD and HMI programming and troubleshooting.
Engineering degrees in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics with experience in controls are acceptable.
Work Environment
The role is Monday through Friday with four days in the office and one day hybrid. 70% of the time will be spent on the plant floor. The team includes three mechanical engineers, two electrical engineers, and has two open positions for a total of seven members.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
