Job Title: Electrical Engineer VJob Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer V to work on multiple major projects of the highest complexity, requiring cutting-edge, innovative solutions. This role involves the design of significant systems and a strong understanding of development programs across the entire lifecycle from concept to decommission. The candidate will occasionally serve as a technical consultant across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
Work on multiple major projects requiring cutting-edge, innovative solutions.
Design significant systems with a strong understanding of the entire development lifecycle.
Engage in long-range technical planning on multiple major projects.
Lead or strongly influence a group of engineers and technicians.
Provide guidance to several groups within the organization and influence strategic goals.
Exercise independent initiative and judgment in setting and implementing goals.
Write highly skilled technical documents.
Lead electrical engineering designs, including schematic capture, design trades, interconnections, and PCB layout.
Serve as the primary design reviewer and conduct full functional testing.
Drive process improvements, mentorship, and oversee EE review boards.
Lead peer reviews for technical engineering, hardware, and electrical design.
Engage in full life cycle development, including customer-facing activities, receiving requirements, designing to specifications, and overseeing program execution.
Essential Skills
Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or technical expert within the professional community.
Extremely high levels of technical knowledge, ingenuity, and creativity within the industry.
Ability to develop and apply advanced technologies, engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
Broad knowledge about the design and operation of systems outside of specialty.
Proficient in Systematic RCCA processes and ability to generate RCCA reports for customers.
Experience with development tools for design capture, simulation, and debug, particularly with Altium Designer.
Proficient with Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis (EPSA).
Effective mentoring and communication skills, including presenting to high-level customers and resolving technical issues.
Bachelor's of Science with 10-14 years, Master's of Science with 8-12 years, or PhD with 5-9 years of experience.
Minimum 15+ years of digital design experience with mil-spec or space programs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Excellent knowledge of industry standard bus architectures such as VME, cPCI, PCIe.
Work Environment
The work environment involves leading and influencing groups of engineers and technicians across multiple major projects. The role requires long-range technical planning and the ability to work independently within the guidance and expectations of site management. The candidate will engage in customer-facing activities, technical planning, and program execution, ensuring effective communication of budgets, schedules, and technical issues. The role also includes mentoring individuals outside of the immediate work group and representing the work group on review panels and cross-organizational teams.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
9/80 schedule, 401k with 4% match, Reimbursement for gym membership and health products, leadership opportunities
