Responsibilities Greets visitors and assists incoming applicants to the application, compliance, interview and orientation procedure for Black Bear Casino, Fond Du Luth and Fond Du Lac Responds to phone calls, emails and in person questions regarding employment and or applications as well as other aspects of Human Resources Responds to phone calls and or emails from employees, supervisors and managers as needed and refers any questions or requests to the HR Manager Assists HR Specialists with making calls for interview and drug test scheduling as needed Responsible for taking messages for staff members and ensures inquiries are sent to the appropriate team members and handled in a timely manner Distributes internal and external mail to HR staff members and logs all incoming mail as needed Fills out, sends and ensures all faxes, including employment verifications Performs routine data entry for employees, supervisors and managers including information change, banking information and positions applied for Data Entry of incoming applications and the relevant information into HRIS systems for hiring Generates a variety of reports including applicants for permanent, open until filled and non-permanent job folders Ensures all applications are complete and filled out correctly including tribal verification. Contacts applicants if there are any errors or missing information to ensure the application can be entered into HRIS systems Logs and files all applications Check in applicants and hand out job descriptions to interviewees as they arrive Organizes and maintains a detailed list and file of all current job listings and job descriptions Create or gather employee personnel files as needed for managers, directors and orientation Daily filing of employee transactions Ensures orientation packets are complete and information is sent out to those needed in order to prepare and assist in the orientation process Takes and copies notes from HR meetings and distributes them to staff as needed Organize and keep record of HR schedules including; days off, interviews, meetings and managers schedule Assists HR team with various work as needed Ensure that the confidentiality of all employees, applicants, and records is respected Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
