Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the Non-Profit sector, located in HEMPSTEAD, New York. This role involves general office support in the HR department, including handling confidential data and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
Maintain customer credit records with utmost accuracy
Resolve customer inquiries and monitor customer accounts
Provide comprehensive administrative support such as scanning, filing, and data entry tasks
Directly manage and answer inbound calls and messages
Handle confidential employee data with the utmost discretion
Adjust work schedule to accommodate afternoon meetings twice a month and take notes
Assist in the onboarding process by entering new hires into the system
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for various tasks including email correspondence and scheduling appointments Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role within the Non-Profit sector.
Proven ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple tasks, including answering inbound calls, managing email correspondence, and scheduling appointments.
Demonstrated customer service skills, with the ability to professionally and courteously handle inquiries and requests.
Experience in both inbound and outbound call handling, with a focus on providing excellent service and support.
Strong data entry skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to quickly learn new software and systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear and concise email correspondence.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Experience or willingness to work in a non-profit environment, understanding the unique needs and expectations of such organizations.
