The Plant Manager position is a direct-hire position working for one of our specialty chemical clients in the League City/Texas City, TX area.
The Plant Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the production facility. This includes overseeing the commercial administration of the companys principal contracts, including the below:
Oversee the feedstock suppliers of chemicals and various utilities.
Manage the operations and maintenance of the process plant.
Manage the relationship with the logistics provider for the operations and maintenance of the marine storage terminal and terminal services for the loading of product cargoes for export.
Oversee the asset management contract for financial control of accounts receivable/payable and the accounting function.
Manage various consulting agreements with environmental, legal, accounting firms.
Manage a staff of 4-5 employees, including the Operations Manager, Engineering Manager, Financial Controller/Logistics Manager, and Administrative Assistant.
Plant Manager Requirements:
20+ Years in the Process Chemical Industry required.
Plant Manager experience for a chemical plant or refrigerated gas terminal operations (e.g., LNG or NGLS such as propane, butane, ethane or ammonia) required; Ammonia process experience a plus.
Bachelors in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required; MBA a plus.
Previous plant manager experience with ammonia projects, large compressors, catalytic reactors and refrigeration process, or refrigerated gas marine storage and export terminal experience is strongly desired.
Plant Manager candidates must be willing to relocate to the League City/Texas City, TX area.
