The Southern Tioga School District is looking for a Supervisor of Special Education to play a vital role in shaping and enhancing our special education programs. The successful candidate will assist the Assistant Superintendent for Student Services in developing, maintaining, coordinating, and supervising the special education programs offered by the school district to enable students with exceptionalities to access appropriate educational services.
Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and time management skills. Knowledge of Special Education programming and law preferred. This is a 12-month position.
PA Supervisory or Administrative certificate required. Experience: 5-7 years in the field of education, part of which must have been in special education or a related field required. Experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity preferred.
