Finance Coordinator- Accounting
POSITION DETAILS
Reporting to the Revenue Accountability Director, along with the CUNY Title Overview, the Finance Coordinator is responsible for:
Works closely with the Director to implement new business processes across the college
Provides accurate financial records for the College by maintaining general ledger accounts
Responds to inquiries from senior members of the college and provide them with accounts overview
Reviews and monitors trends across the campus and notifies the Director of possible changes/concerns as needed
Manages and implements accounting controls in order to satisfy CUNY, City, State and Federal regulations
Participates in audits, ensuring proper compliance with university standards.
Reviews, summarizes and distributes financial reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong computer skills. Familiarity with Cunyfirst and Workday is preferred
Experience in delivering financial information across different sectors
Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Performs financial analysis and administrative work related to College or unit accounting.
Prepares, reconciles and distributes expenditure and related accounting reports
Creates and maintains various spreadsheets related to financial analysis
Processes and tracks transactional entries
Provides support in the administration of various business operations
Coordinates with various departments on accounting matters
Monitors systems and operations to assure a smooth workflow
Performs related duties as assigned.

Salary commensurate with education and experience, $60,394 - $77,430
