Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Sheet Metal Installers for projects located in Newport News, VA . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $27.31/hour based on experience and skill level plus $120/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Installation of foundations, ventilation, bulkheads and shipboard furniture
Sheet metal fabrication shop work
Other tasks assigned
Requirements
Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a first class Sheet Metal Installer
Ability to comprehend complex ventilation assembly drawings, blueprints and sketches to include weld symbols, material @types, datum and reference lines
Ability to comprehend fractional and decimal dimensions as with the use of a ruler
Marine experience preferred
Knowledge of OSHA regulations for shipbuilding
Experience using hand tools, electric drills, grinders, rivet guns, and shop equipment (drillpress, press brake, shears, etc.)
