CORE Electric Cooperative is seeking a Material Handler Foreman to join our Warehouse Department, reporting to the Warehouse Manager, located in our Sedalia office. This individual oversees daily local Bennett district warehouse operations and staff that include inbound order receipt, storage, picking, kitting and delivery of inventory materials for Utility repair and new construction. They will manage workflow, freight and driver scheduling and delivery. This position includes travel and support in the same capacity at other CORE warehouse facilities as directed.
This is a Non-exempt onsite position at our Bennett office, located at 1092 Cedar Street, Bennett, CO 80102.
This is a union position, subject to the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and governed by CORE's rules, regulations, policies, and applicable state and federal law.
You will...
Receive, unload, and validate material from suppliers and contractors, validate the accuracy of the receipt of this material against purchase orders and properly record the receipt of material in the Cooperatives' Inventory management system.
Accurately label and store material in the warehouse in a neat and orderly manner and take necessary action to identify material both as to description and bin location in the warehouse operations.
Identify and report potential inventory shortages and product quality issues.
Pick, consolidate, and issue material to construction and service crews and properly charge the material to each specific job through the cooperatives' inventory management system.
Receive material returned from construction jobs, including surplus material issued or material removed from the system to be retired. Decide whether retired material should go back into warehouse stock or be scrapped, then return the appropriate material through the Cooperatives' inventory management system.
Pick and transfer inventory physically and systematically to and from district warehouses as necessary.
Assist with warehouse inventory counting, part-number documentation and reconciliation as necessary.
Responsible for keeping the warehouse and material storage yard organized, properly labeled, clean, and orderly. Support scraping and recycling activities to ensure the facility is kept clean at all times.
Maintain purchase order files containing both open and closed purchase orders in both paper and paperless document repository system.
Ensure that no materials or tools leave the warehouse and storage yard without proper documentation and authorization.
Assist with the preparation, organization, and execution of physical to book inventory audits, counts and the reconciliation of all inventories.
Review, coach, monitor, and document the training of Material Handlers in all aspects of the job.
Review outbound and inbound workload requirements to appropriately assign staff to complete said workload per scheduled delivery targets.
Schedule deliveries with customers and ensure orders are properly loaded, dispatched, and delivered according to scheduled delivery targets.
Ensure all documentation is properly completed and archived in a timely manner.
Optimize warehouse storage space utilization for efficient storage, put-away, and picking activities.
Oversee all receiving, all kitting, all issuing of goods, to ensure all projects are delivered safely, accurately, and on time.
Recommend, document and initiate process improvements that will deliver a high level of inventory accuracy, timeliness, and visibility to warehouse processes.
Perform other duties as directed.
Working conditions and physical requirements...
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
The worker is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
We are looking for someone with the following minimum qualifications...
High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.
Seven (7) or more years of practical warehouse experience required.
Forklift operator certification is required.
A valid Colorado driver's license with satisfactory driving record within CORE standards is required.
CDOT unrestricted Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with group A designation and air brake endorsement with a DOT medical Certificate is required.
Fully Proficient with position-specific software and applications.
Fully Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook.
Fully Proficient with general office equipment.
Five (5) or more years of practical supervisory equivalent experience required.
