Job Title: Lead Electrical Assembler
Responsibilities
Delegate tasks among the Electrical Assembly team.
Assist with planning and production schedules to ensure target dates are met and resources are available.
Establish goals and objectives for Electrical Assembly employees.
Assist with interviewing and selection of Electrical Assembly candidates.
Orient and train new employees, or delegate this responsibility to others.
Act as a mentor and coach to Electrical Assembly candidates.
Assist the Production Manager in selecting new equipment or techniques to accomplish tasks.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in production work, including all responsibilities described in the Electrical Assembler and Sr. Electrical Assembler positions.
Prioritize work, set schedules, handle performance reviews, and manage personnel issues within the Electrical Assembly department.
Utilize the computer for various responsibilities, such as checking timecards.
Schedule and hold meetings with the Electrical Assembly team regularly and as needed.
Attend meetings regularly with Production and Engineering teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with at least one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience leading a team is strongly preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge of spreadsheet software, word processing software, and internet software.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to the risk of electrical shock and frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may occasionally encounter fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate. Physical demands include standing, using hands, talking, and hearing, frequently walking, reaching, and stooping, and occasionally sitting, climbing, and balancing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
