Job Description
Join our Endocrinology team as an Outpatient Administrative Assistant, where you'll provide essential support to our Outpatient Services. This role is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for providing excellent patient care.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, Day Shift
What You'll Do:
Perform a variety of medical office support services for Outpatient Services.
Manage patient intake and registration processes.
Prepare billing forms and track daily encounters.
Schedule appointments and obtain pre-authorizations.
Provide support to providers, nurses, and administrative staff.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
Handle incoming and outgoing calls courteously and efficiently.
Collect patient co-pays and maintain accurate financial records.
Scan and file medical documents according to protocol.
Ensure compliance with safety and procedural standards.
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical Office Assistant experience preferred.
Experience with coding is helpful.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
Proficiency in relevant office and medical software. EPIC experience is preferred.
Provide friendly, attentive customer service to ensure a secure and pleasant experience for all patients
Physical Demands:
Frequently lift up to 10 lbs, occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
Frequent standing and walking.
Reaching, stooping, and performing routine office tasks.
Light physical effort in an office environment.
