Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and coordinate budgets, financial forecasts, and variance reports.
- Achieve budget objectives by reviewing expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Continuous monitoring and assessment of the firm’s financial health by conducting internal audits and facilitating external audits.
- Manage all accounting operations including: A/R, A/P, billing, revenue recognition, inventory accounting and cost accounting
- Daily awareness of A/R, A/P, cash position and any significant financial items.
- Payroll – responsible for all aspects of the firm’s payroll operations for employees and sub-contractors
- Implement the necessary processes to ensure quality control over the firm’s financial transactions and reporting.
- Timely preparation of monthly financial statements, to include the status of the firm’s financial health.
- Coordinate and prepare month-end and year-end closing processes, and to prepare monthly financial statements.
- Keep current on all relevant federal, state, and local compliance and reporting requirements and prepare all requisite regulatory reports and filings.
- Anticipate regulatory changes and advise management accordingly.
- Prepare special reports as needed.
- Ability to execute the firm’s strategic growth vision by taking a holistic and proactive approach to every aspect of the firm’s financial process.
- Guide financial decisions and protect company assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures and enforcing internal controls.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of combined accounting and financial experience including: creation of financial statements, ledger functions and month-end/year-end process.
- Exceptional accounting software knowledge and proficiency, including Sage 300 and Microsoft Office
- Proven administrative and managerial skills.
- Must work well independently and in team environments.
- Must be a critical thinker, problem-solver and be tech savvy with the ability to quickly learn new software.
- Strong attention to detail, effective oral and written communication skills, active listening skills, the ability to assess and evaluate business needs and exposure, and the ability to identify critical issues & solutions quickly and accurately.
This is an in-person, in the office role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $108,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
