Description
Works collaboratively with Director of Pastoral Care for all projects related to director's departmental, multi-disciplinary,
and health system responsibilities. Participates in special projects as request by Director and performs other duties as
assigned.
Composes and @types correspondence according to supervisor's direction, as well as, memos, forms, charts, tables,
records, reports, and other documents as requested from rough drafts or dictation. Proofreads and edits final draft
materials and submits to supervisor for signature.
Complies data for administrative and statistical reports in an accurate manner and @types these reports.
Gathers appropriate data for the preparation and monitoring of department budgets and accounts.
Coordinates calendar for director, as well as, scheduling of appointments, telephone communication, and
correspondence for the director.
Demonstrates the ability to assess/meet the psychosocial and developmental age-related needs of the specific
population served.
Coordinates the day-to-day operations of pastoral care responsibilities for the director, staff chaplains, on-call chaplains,
and pastoral volunteers.
Updates and distributes necessary documents related to department (i.e., policies and procedures, staff meeting
minutes, address/birthday/disaster lists, staff assignments, etc.) as well as, distributing incoming mail to all staff.
Coordinates departmental and multi-disciplinary conferences and meetings for department members. Makes
arrangements for rooms, food, equipment, etc. Completes necessary paperwork and prepares appropriate materials for
distribution. Includes coordinating with guest speaker, if necessary.
Maintains secretarial files and a systematic record keeping systems for department activities in a complete, up-to-date
and accurate manner.
Completes al check requests and processing of purchase order upon request of director.
Assesses, orders, and maintains necessary supplies for office and department.
Responds to routine inquiries for information in an accurate and timely manner.
Relays timely and accurate information to department members received through referrals, telephone calls, messages,
pagers, etc.
Updates bulletin boards/information items for chaplains and pastoral volunteers.
Participates in special projects as requested by director and other duties as assigned.
Demonstrates the ability to assess/meet the psychosocial and developmental age-related needs of the specific
population served.
Assists staff chaplains with their special projects, as approved by director. Demonstrates the ability to assess/meet the
psychosocial and developmental age-related needs of the specific population served.
Coordinates orientation process for new chaplains (FT, PT, on-call, pastoral volunteers, and CPE students). Demonstrates
the ability to assess/meet the psychosocial and developmental age-related needs of the specific population served.
Coordinates activities for special pastoral care responsibilities (religious services, liturgical seasons, pastoral care week,
clergy/congregation outreach). Demonstrates the ability to assess/meet the psychosocial and developmental age-related
needs of the specific population served.
Coordinates details related to pastoral volunteer program (dates/rooms, correspondence, arranges interviewing process,
reproduces p.v. training manual, processes referrals, maintains daily census, keys, badges, coordinates parking,
scheduling, etc.). Coordinates activities for special pastoral care responsibilities (religious services, liturgical seasons,
pastoral care week, clergy/congregation outreach). Demonstrates the ability to assess/meet the psychosocial and
developmental age-related needs of the specific population served.
Coordinates clerical volunteers serving in the pastoral care department (assists with interviewing; training; delegating
responsibilities).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
