Represent the State with outside organizations and providers.

Minimum Qualifications Permanent Transfer Candidate: Current NYS Dept. of Health employee with one year of permanent or contingent permanent competitive service as Health Care Surveyor 4 (Nursing) Grade 25 or current Dept. of Health employee with one year of permanent or contingent permanent competitive service in a title grade 23 or higher and eligible for transfer under section 70.1 or section 52.6 under civil service law and able to meet the non-competitive requirements below.Non-Competitive via NY HELPS: possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State; a bachelor’s degree in nursing; and four years of post-licensure, specialized professional administrative or professional clinical experience. One year of the experience must have been at a supervisory level.Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an acute care setting (hospital, diagnostic and treatment center, end stage dialysis facility, or ambulatory surgery center). Clinical experience preferred required. Excellent leadership skills. Ability to lead and participate on interdisciplinary teams. Ability to be flexible, change work assignments on short notice to meet the needs of the program. Excellent interview, observational, and writing skills, and an ability to translate collected information into legally defensible reports. Demonstrated experience in oversight of quality assurance and the ability to make determination relative to facility compliance. Ability to develop effective and efficient processes and supervise staff. Federal Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Testing certification.
