Job Title: Accounts Payable Supervisor

Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for all the functions of the accounts payable department, including direct supervision of accounts payable staff, recommending new practices, ensuring compliance, and meeting deadlines. Effective vendor management includes implementing efficiencies and technological improvements as they become available.
*Essential Job Functions:*
- Serve as administrator for Accounts Payable system, maintaining user, general ledger, and Company travel/expense policy settings, updating as needed to keep the database current.
- Establish and monitor the Accounts Payable system and process so that vendor invoices and payments are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Develop and maintain financial reports to enable review of metrics and key performance indicators.
- Oversee timely fiscal month close of AP responsibilities.
- Review all employee expense reports and enforce compliance with Company policies.
- Review and approve non-purchase order accounts payable invoices.
- Supervise direct reports and act as primary resource for questions and troubleshooting.
- Draft annual review of direct reports, including performance assessment and goal setting.
- Deliver feedback and work with the individuals throughout the year to foster professional growth and development, and to discuss progress toward goals
- Provide feedback to management regarding internal and external customer input and comments; recommend enhancements to gain efficiencies.
- Prepare relevant tax related reports/forms as required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
- Five years minimum of Accounts Payable experience.
- Supervisory skills preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of Accounts Payable computerized information systems or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
