What You'll Do:
As anAdministrative Assistant 1, you'll be an essential part of our operations, ensuring smooth workflow and top-notch customer service. Your responsibilities will include:
Operational & Administrative Support:
Advise and assist the DAS Print Manager on workflow efficiencies, program initiatives, and process improvements.
Help streamline work controls, operating procedures, and delegation of tasks.
Monitor progress, analyze data, and contribute to achieving department goals.
Organize customer appreciation events and represent management at daily production meetings.
Order Processing & Workflow Management:
Accurately record and track incoming orders, ensuring smooth processing.
Liaise with agencies to clarify orders and provide guidance on print options.
Assist customers in selecting the right materials and formats for their projects.
Manage print supply inventory and make strategic decisions on in-house vs. outsourced production.
Oversee theDigital Storefront and Print Smith software for order entry, production tracking, and billing.
Customer Service & Relationship Building:
Act as a first point of contact for print inquiries-via phone, email, and in person.
Provide expert guidance on print jobs, materials, and production timelines.
Solve problems efficiently, ensuring customers receive quality service and products.
Research and communicate job status updates to customers while handling concerns professionally.
Offer feedback to management on customer needs and service enhancements.
Additional Responsibilities:
Stay informed on DAS Print policies and copyright regulations.
Attend training and development meetings to enhance skills and expertise.
Assist with inventory management and provide backup support to other print staff.
Handle confidential information, requiring aFederal background check.

Selectives
163 Print Operations:
6 months experience in the display or printing of computerized reports.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in any field.
A total of four years of education (as described in number one) and/or full-time experience in accounting, secretarial, or office support work collecting, compiling, reporting, examining and/or editing numerical data; coding and qualifying people for benefits, licenses, or other transactions; preparing and keeping budgetary accounts and projections; organizing and implementing office support operations; advising on procedural processes; or other work that provided direct support and exposure to substantive agency programs, where one year of full-time experience is equal to 30 semester hours of education.
Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to 12 months of full-time work as a Secretary 2, Clerk Specialist, Public Service Supervisor, Accounting Technician (any level), Purchasing Assistant, or Human Resources Technical Assistant
