Job Summary
We All Gotta Eat!, a Michelin Star recognized, multi-unit, multi-concept restaurant group with locations that include Sushi Noz and Chez Fifi in NYC and Eleventh Street Pizza and soon to open Fooq's Miami is growing and we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The position will report to our Director of Finance and Accounting and is on-site at our office on the Upper East Side. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements including Profit & Loss reports and A/P and A/R reporting while ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to analyze financial data effectively. Experience in the restaurant industry is a plus. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting restaurant operations and business analysis to contribute to the overall financial health of the Company.

Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Conduct account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Interpret financial reports and provide insights for cost controls and efficiencies.
Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Utilize Toast and ADP Payroll for weekly payroll processing.
Utilize R365 and other accounting platforms for for efficient accounting.
Support compliance with wage and hour law and federal, state and local reporting record keeping and reporting requirements as required.
Collaborate with operations, human resources and all departments to manage and support the overall business needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles.
Experience with journal entries, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
Proficient in accounting software; experience with Google Docs, R365, Toast POS and Payroll and ADP Payroll is advantageous.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration within the team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Restaurant / hospitality industry experience is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
