The Staff Accountant is responsible for general accounting duties, accounting, payables and invoicing, business expense reimbursement, cash management, budgeting, financial planning and analysis. This role will have a high attention to detail, be a self starter and will always provide outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

Oversee various accounting operations
Manage Billing, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
Provide support and guidance to the Payroll Administrator
Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions
Support month-end and year-end close process
Establish financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
Manage quality control over financial transactions and reporting
Manage budgeting and forecasting
Produce financial statements
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings (to include 1099 and W2 preparation)
Develop and adhere to policies and procedures
Assist with additional projects as requested

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Account, Business Administration or Finance
3+ years relevant professional experience in accounting or related field
GAAP, Tax, and accrual-based accounting knowledge. Position has significant accounting components and requires a strong understanding of accounting and its application
Proficient Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); advanced Excel expertise preferred
Must be an organized detail-oriented problem solver capable of managing multiple priorities
Must have critical attention to detail and be a strong analytical thinker
