Position Overview:

We are looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Graphic Designer who combines creativity, problem-solving skills, and experience to help shape the future of our brands, ChapStick and Suave. In this role, you will leverage your design expertise to craft original, social-first designs. This is a contract position, requiring approximately 30 hours per week.

You should be able to express the company’s vision clearly and creatively on all social media channels. You will also be responsible for maintaining our brand consistency digitally.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Design and produce high-quality visual assets for social media content. Ability to translate insights into authentic narratives and visual storytelling.
Ensure consistency in design elements and branding across digital channels.
Manage design projects for ChapStick and Suave simultaneously and adhere to project timelines.
Stay updates on industry trends and best practices in digital design
Actively researches trends, inspiration, print and graphic techniques. Compile seasonal graphic mood boards based on design concepts and keep team informed of any opportunities that seem relevant for the brand.
Responsible for supporting the social team through development of posts, IG Stories, TikTok videos
Experience with motion graphics and video editing tools

Essential skills and qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Arts, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or related field.
5+ years of experience as a Digital Designer or similar role, with a stellar portfolio showcasing digital design projects.
Experience in digital creative development, optimally focused on social media.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and other design tools.
Experience with motion graphics and video editing tools
Up-to-date knowledge of digital design trends
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet tight deadlines.
Bonus Skills: Figma, Google Doc/Sheets, Airtable.
