Specialty Consultants, the leading real estate executive search firm, is helping our client, a national industrial real estate investment firm hire an Assistant Controller based in New York City. This role will focus on property accounting for a national portfolio.

The Assistant Controller will be a key member of the Accounting and Finance team, holding a range of responsibilities relating to the accounting, budgeting and financial reporting for a portfolio of real estate.

Responsibilities:

Generate financial reports for Controller and Director of Finance
Monitor and analyze balance sheets, accounts payable and accounts receivable
Manage accrual schedules, distributions, RE tax liability payment schedule.
Coordinate with Asset and Property Management teams on lease adjustments
Review month end construction draw packages provided by Development.
Assist with budgeting for management entities

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field
4+ years of experience in property accounting
Strong technical, analytical, communication and presentation skills
Proficient in Yardi Voyager and Microsoft Office suite

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Performance bonus
