Job title: Bookkeeper for Construction manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team of construction managers. Candidate will need to have 5+ year’s experience in bookkeeping. Background in the construction industry would be ideal but not necessary. Candidate will have a deep understanding of job costing, project-based accounting, and industry-specific billing processes. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks (Advanced level) and a strong foundation in accounting, bookkeeping, and auditing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain accurate general ledger and job cost accounting

· Process AIA billing and manage subcontractor payments

· Reconcile bank and credit card statements

· Track and manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and ensure compliance

· Handle accounts receivable and payable, including lien waivers and payment tracking

· Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with audits

· Ensure timely and accurate information in coordination with CPA for tax filing

· Manage and track multiple projects’ financials simultaneously

Requirements:

· Minimum 5 years of construction bookkeeping/accounting experience

· Proficiency in QuickBooks (Advanced level); familiarity with construction-specific features

· Experience with payroll, COIs, and financial audits

· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred (Not Required):

· Familiarity with AIA billing software, G702/G703 forms

· Experience working with NYC-based GCs, subs, or developers

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week

Schedule:

4 hour shift
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
