Director of Nursing (DON) – 250+ Bed Nursing Home

Location: Bensenhurst, Brooklyn, NY
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000 per year + Benefits & PTO

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established nursing home in the Bensonhurst area of Brooklyn , seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead their nursing team. This facility, with 250+ beds , is seeking a motivated and hardworking leader who is prepared to put in the effort required to maintain high standards of care.

Our client is also open to considering a well-seasoned ADON who is ready to take the next step in their career and transition into a DON role.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the day-to-day nursing operations of the facility.
Lead and mentor the nursing leadership team , including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Develop and implement care plans , policies, and procedures to maintain exceptional care standards.
Monitor staff performance , provide coaching, and identify professional development opportunities.
Address resident and family concerns promptly and effectively.
Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all shifts.

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (Required)
Proven experience as a Director of Nursing or extensive experience as an ADON ready to advance
Strong clinical knowledge and excellent leadership abilities
Ability to motivate staff and foster a positive, team-oriented environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Dedication to ensuring exceptional resident care and maintaining compliance standards

Compensation & Benefits:

$150,000 - $180,000 per year based on experience
