Nurse Practitioner Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities

Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patients' health status.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, including dementia care.
Develop treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
Perform medical procedures such as cardiac catheterization, spinal taps, and acute pain management.
Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and family planning.
Collaborate with nursing home staff to provide quality care for residents.
Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance patient care practices.
Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with ICD-9 coding standards.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
Strong clinical skills with experience in physical examinations and acute care settings.
Knowledge of dementia care practices and durable medical equipment (DME) management is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
